Iran – brief update

by admin on July 1, 2007 · 0 comments

20th July

After a 220 km ride today I finally crossed the border from Iran to Turkey – so I am back in Europe now (in footballing terms in any case!)

Iran has been friendly and beautiful. Slightly crazy traffic you have to watch out for but otherwise a lovely cycling country.

Over the next few days I will be riding towards Ankara and on Wednesday will fly home for 3 weeks for my sisters wedding – then back to Turkey again to finally cycle home.

Proper Update about Iran coming soon.

1st July 2007

Now in Iran – great to be here – great place!

In the city of Mashhad in the east. Heading for the Caspian Sea this week (where apparently it rains – I have really been missing rain!).

More to follow soon.
