The software to add comments to blog posts on this site is run by Disqus.com. They may leave a cookie if you sign in to your Disqus account, whether you leave a comment or not. The same applies if using your Facebook account or Twitter account to sign in via the Disqus comment system.

Facebook

On the homepage their is currently a feed from the Facebook page from 'Walking Home From Mongolia'. Facebook installs cookies to track this feed and to know whether the user is logged in to Facebook or not.

Vimeo / YouTube

Some pages have embedded videos on them (mainly from Vimeo but some are from YouTube). Vimeo and YouTube take the opportunity to add cookies to track interaction with the videos.

AddThis is a service used on our blog posts to enable people to share what they've read via Facebook, Twitter, or Google Plus or many other online sharing tools. For this process to work, a number of cookies are installed.

We use an embedded widget from PayPal on our shop page. When making purchases you will be directed to the PayPal secure website. PayPal install cookies to track their widget on this site.
