On my way through Japan by bicycle (whilst Cycling Home From Siberia), it took me about two weeks to get from Tokyo to Kobe (albeit with a few detours).
When I did it this week on a bullet train on the way to give a speech to Glory Global Solutions, it took 3 hours!
